For all of you who check out the blog, Teddy went to Rainbow Bridge today. He made it through the surgery okay, but the dogtor called and said that just before we were to leave and pick him up that he went into cardiac arrest. He did cpr but couldn't pull him back.
Needless to say we are devastated. We knew this day would come, but we just weren't prepared for it to be today. We are professing Christians, and can't help but feel that God had His hand in the situation. I don't think Randy nor I could make the difficult decision that so many have had to do; instead He simply took Ted to be with Him.
No doubt we will see him again. Do dogs have souls? Debatable. But animals were important enough to our Heavenly Father that Proverbs 12:10 says, "The righteous man regards the life of his beast (animal)." He knows that we loved Teddy with all our hearts. In fact his full name is Theodore Gabriel Earnest. Theodore means "gift from God" and believe me, he was that and so much more. About seeing him again--well, I believe in Heaven, God will want us to be happy and we will want our baby (babies) with us for eternity.
We love all of you and thank you for your furiendship. We will be back on as we have a new addition to the family. She's a cutie-patootie and know that Ted will fill her in on all the family secrets and tricks that he knows. Thank you for your patience during this time...

We are so sorry. I can't imagine your pain, I have felt it before, but everyone's sorrow is unique. Teddy was a wonderful dog, you a wonderful Mom. I believe dogs have a soul. I have to.
ReplyDeleteDearest Teddy and family - We are so sorry. We beleive that anyone with such unique personalities, unwavering confidence and loyalty and capable of sharing as much love as a dog can must have soul. Rest well, dear Teddy. We'll see you on the other side.
ReplyDeleteTo every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: You were more then a beloved , loyal pet & family member. You were an instrument to bring humor, friendship, encouragement to those that were in need through your blogs & unforgettable photos. You have fulfilled your purpose & left an imprint on more then you can imagine. You were a gift from God given to owners that were generous enough to share your life with us. You will be truly missed!

We are so sorry to read of Teddy's passing. He so enriched your lives, and those of us who came to know his enormous heart and intellect through his journals and messages. The Arkansas Fiddler (on the Roof) is playing a sad song today. May there be better times ahead for those Teddy has left behind. Cassie & Dad
