Rainbow Bridge

For all of you who check out the blog, Teddy went to Rainbow Bridge today. He made it through the surgery okay, but the dogtor called and said that just before we were to leave and pick him up that he went into cardiac arrest. He did cpr but couldn't pull him back.

Needless to say we are devastated. We knew this day would come, but we just weren't prepared for it to be today. We are professing Christians, and can't help but feel that God had His hand in the situation. I don't think Randy nor I could make the difficult decision that so many have had to do; instead He simply took Ted to be with Him.

No doubt we will see him again. Do dogs have souls? Debatable. But animals were important enough to our Heavenly Father that Proverbs 12:10 says, "The righteous man regards the life of his beast (animal)." He knows that we loved Teddy with all our hearts. In fact his full name is Theodore Gabriel Earnest. Theodore means "gift from God" and believe me, he was that and so much more. About seeing him again--well, I believe in Heaven, God will want us to be happy and we will want our baby (babies) with us for eternity.

We love all of you and thank you for your furiendship. We will be back on as we have a new addition to the family. She's a cutie-patootie and know that Ted will fill her in on all the family secrets and tricks that he knows. Thank you for your patience during this time...

We love you, sweet baby boy...

Monday is Quickly Approaching

Seriously, mom is dreading the actual surgery not so much as the thought of a fluffy 13 1/2 year old doggie being put under anesthesia. This dogtor was the first to kinda fuss about Ted's weight. He's always been chunky but he's always been playful and active too. The owner we bought him from at 7 weeks said he should be a lap dog and might weigh 17-19 lbs. WRONG!!! His last weigh in was a little over 24 lbs, but he has hit 30+ in his heyday. Some said that was because he was neutered at a good age, but the people we got him from said that some just get bigger than others, and Teddy would be "an other"...

On the positive side, Momma and Daddy both have noticed that I've turned more loving and willing to snuggle with us the last couple of days. Maybe he is sensing the impending procedure.... I've told him all his furiends were thinking about him and that the playground can't be without it's double-naught spy for long so he's gonna have to get well soon!!

Well, we're gonna sign off for the evening. Entertaining blog as always, Foley & Pocket!!! Try to keep Pocket from getting cat-nipped again :)

All I Need To Know About Life I Learned From Spock

Live long and prosper =/\= Emotions are most illogical =/\= One raised eyebrow is worth a thousand words =/\= Vulcans never bluff =/\= The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few =/\= Never mind meld with strangers =/\= Having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting; it is illogical, but it is often true =/\= There's no such thing as a Vulcan death grip =/\= As you go out and greet the universe remember: when puzzled, just say, "Fascinating"

As for me... Mom has always wondered what a Borg assimilation of me would be like... Daddy says not to worry. I'd bark so much the Borg wouldn't bother with me.

Bark long and prosper.

Monday Musings

Today is another rainy, dreary day. When it's bad weather, the animals aren't prone to running around the neighborhood. When they don't trespass on MY property, I have nothing to bark at. Believe me, it makes for a very boring day, not to mention taking away my fundamental right to bark-n-guard MY property from intruders!

Well, now that all my griping is out of my system, I can go on to other things. It's looking like more and more of the core heart and soul of Cyberland are making profiles at the new gathering place. It is pawesome to see so many coming and making profiles there. Some are maintaining dual citizenship, and that's quite alright by me. I can understand that some don't want to leave, and I don't fault them for not wanting to sever ties. Mom thought the best for us would be to delete before we got deleted because she was getting ready to go all spider-monkey jacked up on Mountain Dew all over somebody's rear end if she didn't voluntarily delete... Don't make her angry. You wouldn't like her when she's angry :)

It seems that it's going to remain a quiet day. We can only hope the sun will shine (even for just a few minutes!!!) tomorrow and I will be free to bark again. It could happen!

Our Tribute to Foley & Pocket

Here’s the story, of a tiny Yorkie

Foley’s mission was beginning to unfold

Storming castle gates and stand-ing up to Prince-ass,

This girl is very bold;

Here’s the story, of a girl named Pocket

And she’d pee and poop in places that were wrong

Along side Foley Pocket made the perfect foil

For which we’ll sing this song;

‘Til the one day when the sisters called for justice

And they knew they couldn’t make the time for lunch

That this duo must somehow form a Brigade

That’s the way we all became the Monster Bunch

The Monster Bunch, The Monster Bunch

That’s the way we became The Monster Bunch

It's been an eventful 24-hours, hasn't it? The fur is really flying over all this mess. As much fun as it is to see everything happening (such as finding out who your real furiends are), it will be nice when everything settles down.

Daddy had yet to see my blog, so we're giving him a look around now. He thinks it's a little strange for a doggy to be out blogging, but we're not exactly normal. Mom has to remind him every once in a while that he knew what he was getting into when he married Momma. And then we get the usual "rolling of the eyes"....

Well, Mom said we're posting this and then taking the evening off. We'll catch up with everypup tomorrow. Have a good rest of the day! Lhasa love to you all.

It's Finally Happened.

We were so happy, so relieved. Note I said "were". We thought we just might escape the DS controversy unscathed. That was not to be the case.

Mom checked our page this morning and Chewie, the sister to Cute-Cute, left this on my comments: Hi Teddy. I always wonder whenever I see your pic. Is this your real look ? To be honest, I feel kind of scared looking your all your pictures. Perhaps, you might consider doing something about it. No offense ok, this is furiends opinion. But it is still up to you.

Well, as Mom said, her "mama bear" came out and Teddy isn't taking this lying down. He rebutted: Yes it's my real look, and I'm very proud of it. If it scares you, look elsewhere. A "real" furiend would be a furiend regardless of "looks", so I'm not too worried about it or you.

Remember, this is documented on my page, even if the Lollipop deletes Ted's comment. So, part of us would love to tell Prince-ass what transpired, but I'm feeling that just blogging about it is giving both of us the catharsis we needed. (Mom was paying attention in English Class a thousandy years agol!!!) Sticks and stones and all. Anyway, thank you for putting up with today's entry. Lhasa love to you all!

Hard to Believe...

It's hard to believe how people can have truth in front of them and can still be so blinded. We've probably sealed our fate on DS. Fred and his mom made a great journal entry about reasons why they're leaving DS and they are deleting their profiles. Well, me and my big roaring mouth said, "A doggie's gotta do what a doggie's gotta do... you know where to find us, plus.... there you'll have free speech without fear of repercussions. We've enjoyed our time with you so much and hope to see you around the web. We'd like to see others there too when they've pulled their head out of the sand. Remember that denial is a river in Egypt."

Well, that was directed to a brother of a brother/sister set who defended the actions of DS! Yorkies, you were so right on in saying these pups were on the Darkside!!! OMD! I still can't believe these pups... you'll have to forgive my shock and awe. Even IF that was their opinion, you'd think the proper response would be to wish the departing pups well and vent on their own suck-up journal. It's okay. One day the tables will be turned and they'll know what it's like. Goofballs. Forgive me. It's hard to remember there are people writing scripts for us and that the doggies are really innocent. Sorry...

As Holly Hunter said in "O, Brother": I've spoke my peace and counted to three. Wishing all of our furiends a happy Tuesday! Lhasa love to you.

The Blog, Part 2

We're all a-wigglebutt over the new leash on life we've gotten, just from being out of the oppressive atmosphere and into the cyberworld of actually blogging. A dog-blog. Who would have thought it?

Now on to important things. Why is it that a chocolate lab is chocolate but a yellow one isn't vanilla?

Please forgive me for wondering. As all my furiends know, I'm an only pup and have never had exposure (much) to other breeds, much less other dogs. Mom and I just have an over-active imagination and we think about things from time to time.

Here's one Mom has always thought about. There are road signs in some residential neighborhoods that say "SLOW CHILDREN AT PLAY". That's fine, but where are the fast ones?

Well, now that I've exposed mom's one and only deep thought, I'll sign off for now. Lhasa love to you all :)

The Blog, Part 1

Oh, how that sounds like a 1950's B-list sci-fi movie. We're a displaced lot, but fortunately (and that's how you spell it, Princeass), I believe we've found a couple of homes to post thoughts, pictures, updates, and most importantly of all, I think FREE SPEECH is actually encouraged here.

The old joke is it's a dog-eat-dog world out there, and I'm wearing milk-bone underwear. Little did I realize it's closer to the truth than you'd think. We were all on this pawesome site called "DoggySpace". It was so much fun to meet doggies, give little free tokens on their pages and just get to know one another. Until... things took a horrible turn. Those accused were never listened to, sentences were handed out for the utterance of a former members' name (one who did not leave in good standing to DS) and it's left a lot of hurt, destruction and low morale for those who do remember how it was in the beginning. It's the beginning of the end. It's not going to work for the US Government to take over the daily American life; I can hardly see how this regime will work in the same way.

In the famous words of my hero Forrest Gump: "That's all I have to say about that." Please come by so I'll know who's here!!! Lhasa love to you guys!
